Ammonite Fossil Stone
Ammonites are the ancient equivalent to the modern-day sea shell. Sea squids built a chambered shell in where they would pump air into the empty chambers and float at different levels off the ocean to search for a food. This unique skill to float at different depths of the ocean is what called now Ammonites. Ammonites lived approximately 400 million years ago.
They ranged in size from a few centimeters to as big as about 1.7 meters in diameter. As they are now extinct, we can only learn about them from fossils. They were generated on the Earth from the end of the Paleozoic era's Silurian period (around 420 million years ago) to the middle of the Devonian period (around 380 million years ago).
Now you can have yourself a most beautiful 0ver 400 years old fossil Ammonite Jewelry.
